GreenZone recently became the first Playing for Success Centre to join the Get Set network and receive the right to use the London 2012 Education Logo.

During a forum with Mr Beeton he said that replicating this initiative would be a great challenge, and encouraged all the children to “set yourself some goals just go and do it!”

In addition, Erin Munns from the Education Team at LOCOG led a Winter Games workshop to celebrate the forthcoming Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Pupils also challenged Olympic prospect Andy Robertson from Sale Harriers on GreenZone’s SportWall.

40 children took part in an Olympic sports session led by professional coaches and ‘Pass It On’ inspired work such as poetry based on the Olympic and Paralympic Value of Determination.
